5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome album! March 4 2011
By Gregory
Format:Audio CD
I don't really get why some people hate this album. I mean seriously: think about how hard work they've done here! It starts out heavy from Twisted Transistor, then it becomes soft up to Open Up. Then it gets dark again all the way from Coming Undone to Tearjerker. This was my first Korn album and I thought it was very good! If you were to ever judge a book by its cover, at least think about how much effort an album is created. That's what I would think about if I were you people!

I rate this 5/5, and my most favourites here are 1, 3, 7, 9, 11 and 12. The rest is good. So, no matter what other people say about this, try to think how much effort the band has made their album.

4.0 out of 5 stars A twisted transition June 9 2006
Format:Audio CD
While not a huge fan of KoRn myself, I am nevertheless seduced now and again by the fast paced sounds and the raw gritty quality to the lyrics. KoRn is a rather controversial band, not shying from obscenities or explicit descriptions where it decides they're warranted and even if you're not too keen on this (as is my case) they still manage to make it sound good - it's catchy even if you don't like what it's gotten stuck in your head.

This was my main problem with 10 Or a 2-Way and Getting Off - the lyrics made me cringe at times, but all in all the cd was still a very good listen and it definitely merited being stuck on repeat just for the creepy but catchy background noise it added. Twisted Transistor (which everyone has heard), Liar, and Throw Me Away were three of my favorites - the latter of the three having a very angst ridden feel which broke up the three songs prior to it which I, at least, thought sounded very similar and were *good* but still seemed to run into one another.

And despite what reviewers before me have said, I loved Tearjerker - I'd venture to say it was my favorite song on the album. It's not their usual fast-paced non stop beat, and by comparison it's a very mellow side of the cd. More than anything else, I thought it was an excellent finish to See You on the Other Side; very gloomy, depressing, creepy feeling and it gives you a sense of conclusion and finality. It was made all the more enjoyable to me just because it was unique from the rest of the album and did show a 'softer' (if you can even call it that) side of KoRn.

Bottom line; if you're a KoRn fan there should be more than enough classic KoRn sounds on this album to inspire a purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars THE KoRn album to have Feb. 17 2006
Format:Audio CD
If you've ever even heard about KoRn, you no doubt have heard their latest hit - Twisted Transistor. And despite that it's so commercialized that there is hardly a rock radio/tv channel that's not playing it, it's still got KoRn's secret formula of making amazing songs. The rest of the album is very different from Twisted Transistor and that's why I didn't like it at first. But that all changed pretty quick, cause every song on that new album is amazing, more or less. And most importantly, it's comes closer to KoRn's original style (especially the hard Politics and Hypocrites). The other songs are heavy, melodic, light, intense and relaxed at the same time which makes for an unforgettable experience. The more I listen to the album, the more I like it, unlike some people. I think it's their best album besides Greatest Hits Vol. 1. Can't wait to go to their concert on April 4th :D

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice development Jan. 19 2006
Format:Audio CD
On this Album we get to hear a new side of Korn which I hope will give something of an indication of where they maybe headed in the future . That is the mix of guitars and electronics .
Overall I feel that the Atticus Ross produced numbers are better than the Matrix produced numbers . The Ross numbers just seem more developed and thought out where as some of the Matrix numbers appear a bit messy .
Still a good album .

5.0 out of 5 stars great cd Jan. 8 2006
Format:Audio CD
I have been a korn fan ever since they started making albums. I admit that this cd is a little bit softer than korn usually is, but i dont see anything wrong with it. I think that the softer music gives davis a chance to show wat a great singer he is. Twisted Transistor: 7/10- great the first couple times u listen to it, but it gets boring really fast.
Politics 10/10- i love this song, nice guitar riff, catchy vocals that are funny as well
Hypocrites: 9/10- great song. well writen lyrics and guitar riffs.
souvenir: 8/10- Has the same good things goin on as the first three songs.
10 or a 2-way- 6/10- cant say i like this song that much... funny chorus though haha
throw me away- 10/10- one of my favourite songs on the cd, kind of like somebody someone
Love song- 5/10- this song isnt all that bad, i usually skip it though
Open up- 11/10- favourite song on the cd along with liar. this song has a good riff, beat, and their are lots of good quotes in it. about drugs (i think :S)
coming undone- 9/10- soft but good
getting off- 9/10- pretty fast pased song with good backup vocals
Liar- 11/10- simple guitar thats really catchy. funny lyrics :p
all the rest of the songs on the cd arnt very good. especially tearjerker... that song gets me really mad.. its garbage
