soaring Americana indie rock June 26 2012
By Charlie Quaker - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
3rd release from band out of Newfoundland, Canada: Both intimate & epic, this is the kind of
soaring Americana indie rock that tugs at the heart strings and caresses the eardrums with
slice-of-life lyrical visions served up in a passionate, semi-orchestrated, compelling musical
potpourri. Tim Baker's voice interprets stories with a subtle, spine-tingling magic; augmented by
layers of sweeping, post-country, cinematic instrumentation. Similarities to the National, Hold
Steady, Shearwater, Lampchop, Bruce Springsteen, Lucero, Drive-By Truckers.

Another great album from Hey Rosetta! June 1 2012
By Ben - Published on Amazon.com
I just saw Hey Rosetta! live and they played through most of this album. Such and amazing experience to see this band perform. Unfortunately they didn't play anything from their first album, but their newer stuff is just as phenomenal. Fantastic blend of instruments and vocals that flow together without sounding repetitive. The violin and cello that weave throughout their songs are beautiful. The music itself says as much as it does compliment Tim Baker's sincere lyrics. This is an astounding and unique band that really puts their heart and soul into their music.

Don't pass over this underrated group. I highly recommend their previous albums as well: "Plan Your Escape" and "Into Your Lungs." This is money well spent.

One of the best albums never played on American radio! March 24 2013

Sooo much good stuff! Sixteen more unnecessary words required to complete this review sooo .... go watch the band's homemade "Bandages" video, for some instant uplift! (Sorry for the commercial, if any, that's on Google, not me.)

Hmmm ... Amazon deleted the link. It's Hey Rosetta! - Bandages by subscriber Sonic Records, uploaded Sep 29, 2011. And it's really worth your time - go watch it.
