Seeking God's Face is one of the simplest prayer books I've ever used. Reinders has compiled scriptures and prayers in a way that anyone can use. For anyone who struggles to keep a regular devotional life, this book is for you.

finally a reformed devotional March 30 2013

I had pretty much given up on 'devotional' materials. Often they have 1-2 verses then lots of someones thoughts on it. This resource follows the lectionary scripture readings for the year. So everyday I get to read scripture with brothers and sister around the world who follow the lectionary. It is almost all scripture with space recommended to reflect and prayer. And it crafts prayers for you to pray taken from some of the historic Reformed Christian documents (Heidelberg, Belgic, Westminster, etc) which I have REALLY loved. So in short, this is the best devotional book I have ever owned.

Great Daily Devotional April 3 2013
By C. Eagan - Published on
Format: Imitation Leather
This is a great devotional in that it gives lots of Scripture and asks you to meditate on that. There's not thoughts from the author on what you should glean from the reading. The only author-added words are suggestions for topics to pray for (ie - growth in personal holiness, our national and local leaders, etc). He also adds a prayer at the end of each devotion which I have found to be meaningful.

I really appreciate how this book sets you up well to pray and meditate on Gods word and spend time hearing God speak through it. It's really one of the best devotional books I've read.

Each reading takes between 5-10 minutes to go through but all depends on how long you like to read and meditate on the passages. I use this book in my own personal devotions as well as in group meetings at work and at church. It works well in both settings.

Daily Office in an attractive cover Nov. 1 2012

This little book follows the lectionary through the church year. Call to worship, psalm, scripture, guided reflection, and prayer all wrapped in an imitation leather (more like rubber, although attractive nevertheless)cover. This little book has helped bring structure and consistency to my daily time with God. I look forward to it every day.

Great addition to my daily devotional life Dec 13 2013

It was recommended by a fellow pastor and I have enjoyed it for over a month now. Nice balance of Scripture, silence, Lectio Divina, and free flowing and written prayers. The written prayers originate from Reformed Confessions.
Excellent tool for spiritual growth for all Dec 2 2014

I use this personally and we have given it as gifts many times, including to our consistory (church board). It is excellent in many ways... I especially enjoy the diverse and well rounded reminders for prayer topics as well as the customized closing prayers each day. There are also references to the Reformed creeds the author is utilizing, which is a great reminder for those of the Reformed school of thought, and easily ignored by others. This is also easily accessible for anyone who can read as it is written for the average person (not just pastors), loosely follows the lectionary, and is all contained... no need to juggle this and a bible, the texts are printed for you. Personally, over time and usage, I have the kindle edition, as well as a couple of hard copies so that I can access it whenever I'd like, wherever I'd like - whether I am at church, home, or have some time while elsewhere.
