This review is from: A Seeking Heart (Paperback)
A Seeking Heart tells the story of a lost and lonely young woman who cannot trust anyone due to her tragic upbringing. When Samantha O'Brien encounters the Klaasen clan, especially handsome young Adam Klaasen, she learns about family love, romantic love and, most important, the love of God. In addition to being a sweet story appropriate for any age or gender of reader, A Seeking Heart provides a rich, heartwarming, life-changing picture of what happens when a lost sinner is welcomed into the loving family of God.

An inspiring story of family love, Nov 3 2003
This review is from: A Seeking Heart (Paperback)
Kim Vogel Sawyer knows her subject well--no surprise since this book is based on her family history. She has a gift for creating lovable, believable characters and bringing the past to life. A Seeking Heart is neither fast-paced nor glitzy--just a good, solid, fun, and inspiring read. Perfect for curling up with on a cold winter evening. The heroine, Samantha, runs from an abusive home, disguised as a boy until she attempts to steal food from a store. The Klaasen family takes the lonely, defensive girl into their home, and from them she quickly learns what a family should be--loving, supportive, fun. A sweet romance develops . . . until Samantha's past catches up with her. Just the right book for a romantic at heart!

I read this book cover to cover and could not wait to dig into the rest of the books in this series! Kim has placed her reader in the time period with the people in her story! I found myself there, I could see the town, smell the seasons, feel the love of the family...It will hold the reader's attention to the very end. The story line will melt any heart! I feel that she will give others in her catagory a true run for their money! This book is a great addition to all book collections.
