Product Description

From Amazon.ca

Hidden behind the Seiko Men's Automatic Stainless Steel Watch's classic analog design are high-tech progressive elements like a day and date function in two languages (English and Spanish) and precise 21-jewel Japanese automatic movement, a feature that means this watch never needs batteries or winding; it is powered automatically by the movement of your arm. Time of day is displayed on a black analog dial that showcases luminous silver-toned hands and luminous silver-toned baton and Arabic hour markers. The dial also features a day and date window at the three o'clock position, and is protected by a Hardlex crystal and backed by a stainless steel case. Keeping all of this securely on your wrist is a stainless steel link bracelet that closes with a double-push-button fold-over safety clasp. Other features include a custom crown at the four o'clock position and water-resistance to 99 feet (30 meters).

Product Description

Time to upgrade to a cool, modern look. This Seiko watch has a black dial set in a sleek silver-tone case. The stainless steel band band is finished with a fold over clasp. It's a great casual accessory that's versatile enough to wear every day.

5.0 out of 5 stars This watch is great! Feb. 3 2012

I've had this watch for roughly five days and the tl;dr version of this review is that, this watch is great.

Starting with the look and finish of the product, is great. The watch case comes in polished stainless steel, with precise hands. Looks very handsome when worn with formals. The finish of this product is great, everything is detailed and precise. Very difficult to find flaws (Not that it has any).

Since this is an automatic watch, we also have to talk about its precision in keeping time. No complaints there either.

An automatic has a wide error range when it comes to keeping time. A good watch will keep time within 30s a day. A great watch, which is probably chronometer certified keeps time within 6s each day. This Seiko SN293K1 keeps time within 5s a day. Since I've had it, it has advanced exactly 5s each day, which goes without saying, is great.

Overall, definitely recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars dont be scared, it runs like a top. Feb. 7 2014

Do not be overly concerned by people complaining about these Seiko 5's keeping time poorly. I've had mine 6 weeks now and I don't think it's lost more than three to four seconds yet, if that much. This is my third Seiko and the first two lasted a total of 24 years. Actually number two is still running fine, but the gold plating got too worn. They make some fine watches. One note I would give you on my particular model though in regards to the day abbreviation. I thought it would be in red print, because that's what's illustrated. That's not the case, and I should have remembered that. SUN is in red print, all the other days are black-and-white. My previous Seikos were the same way. No a big point, just something to keep in mind when you pick which Seiko 5 you like.

Great watch, no complaints. I'm swapping the band for a NATO strap and replacing the crystal with sapphire, but other than that I am pleased with the purchase!
1.0 out of 5 stars Single worst watch I've ever purchased July 3 2014
By Mohican9 - Published on Amazon.com
Single worst watch I've ever purchased. It was functioning so poorly, I opened the back and sprayed WD40 on it. Needless to say, I was desperate at that point. Before that, I was dropping it from 5-6 ft on carpet to get it to run. It did, all of 30 seconds. This one was bad out of the box. I do not miss it.
