I did look good in the gown. I looked like Scarlett O' Hara getting ready for a big wedding at Tara. I moved around a little to simulate dancing."Jump up and down so we can see how it'll look when you do the bunny hop," Grandma said.
"It's pretty but I don't want a gown," I said.
"I can order one in her size at no obligation," Tina said.
"No obligation," Grandma said. "You can't beat that."
"As long as there's no obligation," my mother said.
I needed chocolate. A lot of chocolate. "Oh gee," I said, "look at the time. I need to go."
To complicate matters further, Stephanie's made a reluctant deal with the devil: if she can't bring in DeChooch by herself, her sexy but dangerous cohort Ranger is willing to help--for a price that a girl who's not-exactly-engaged is uncertain whether she should pay. But when Dougie and Mooner disappear, Grandma is kidnapped, and a crazy widow starts taking pot shots, no one who hides her .38 in a cookie jar is going to turn down a little friendly assistance.
In Seven Up, Janet Evanovich serves up her usual bubbly fare: a totaled car, raucous viewings at Stiva's Funeral Parlor, buffoonish bad guys, and down-and-dirty mud wrestling, all stirred up with some snappy Jersey repartee and a few tart, new twists that will keep her fans impatient. Heaven can't wait for number eight. --Barrie Trinkle --This text refers to the Hardcover edition.

Just to have a good time,

This review is from: Seven Up (Mass Market Paperback)
One of the best things of reading is to have a good time, enjoy the reading and laugh now and then, so that's the description of this book. The main story is nonsense, the lost package and the way they lost it and the way they found it is foolish, but you will laugh meanwhile, all the stories of grandmother Manzur are indeed hilarious and I think that many of them think alike but they don't say anything. The investigation, policemen and the lovers of Stephanie is worthless, but you will laugh a lot while reading this.

As always, bizarre and hilarious,
This review is from: Seven Up (Mass Market Paperback)
Simply put, no one looking for a truly entertaining, engaging (albeit light) read should pass up this series. Each installment is solid and immensely satisfying; by the time you've read even one of these novels, you will feel that you know Stephanie Plum personally; you will think of her as a friend and ally. Her antics and adventures are endlessly amusing, and the end of each book will only leave you wanting more. Don't miss this series!

Utterly Outrageous!!!,

This review is from: Seven Up (Mass Market Paperback)
Janet Evanovich has such a way with writing comedy. I love her Stephanie Plum books. Its truly amazing how she can come up with all these different stories. I just love them!Stephanie continues her bounty hunting and at times is just so hilarious. You'll never believe how she get's revenge on Joyce Barnhart, her bitter rival and arch enemy.. This time the chase is after Eddie DeChooch. Along with Grandma Mazur,Morelli,Ranger,Mooner,Dougie, Bob, and a couple more people she picks up along the way, Stephanie goes for another wild ride:) This is a book that will keep you laughing so hard you'll be in stiches. I often yearn to be in her shoes. This reviewer recommends Seven Up to anyone looking for a good laugh,
