The patterns are sized from 18 months to kid’s size 12.

Pretty colors but not my thing.,

I was a bit dissapointed with this book. I felt many of the patterns were either too basic or too "froofy". I also didn't really like how they did not offer a pattern for the designs used on the shirts - I would have liked to have been able to cut out the tree or the deer that are pictures in the beautiful photographs. I felt like this book was a better coffee table book (with all the whimsical photographs) than an actual pattern book. On a positive note, the instructions were clear and easy to follow and I like how I now have a "basic" hoody and t-shirt pattern for my kids to grow into.

I LOVE this book! I have a 6 year old and I love to sew for her but am tired of the same old patterns and boring looks. This book not only has unique looks but really encouraged me to use my imagination when it comes to embellishment, trims, buttons, ribbons. I have made the skirt and the pants. The patterns were easy enough but then I already know how to sew quite well. The ideas and examples in the book are gorgeous and extremely creative. It comes with patterns that you have to trace out because they are multi sized and do not have seam/hem allowances built in. I have done this before so that was not an issue for me. The size fit my daughter perfectly. And best of all, she LOVED both pieces. I have people stopping me on the street and asking me where I found them!! I would recommend this book to anyone that loves to sew for kids. If you have never sewn before you might need a little help with the pattern making but I really didn't find it difficult. Shopping for the fabric becomes almost as much fun as the sewing!

I haven't had time to sew anything out of this book yet but I am so impressed!It is well laid out, it is beautifully photographed and has some great time saving tips. Her tips for sewing hems on toddler pants and attaching pant legs together, why did no one mention this before! I can't wait to get some funky fabric and make some clothes for my daughter. The only con to this book would be wishing for a hoody pattern in my size as well.
