This series also involves a short story in the Chanku series which initially inspired me to buy the book in the first place. However, I have, in the meantime, ordered another couple of novels in the series in order to keep up with the Wolf Tale series itself, but also because I thoroughly enjoyed the other two short stories. They all appear to be involving shapeshifting abilities - at least by the males - and also include the overall message of `just because you are different doesn't necessarily mean you are dangerous or an outcast'. Definitely worth a read!Story one is by Kate Douglas - Chanku Rising - which returns us to the Montana pack and Keisha (Tia's cousin) in particular. She used to have a stalker in form of a reporter who appeared to have the inside story on her rape ordeal that initially caught Anton Cheval's attention and he appears to be up to his old tricks. However, as always, there is a lot more to the story than first impressions may suggest ... Noelle Mack spins a story about Tiger, Tiger - actually a mystical white Tiger rescuing a nearly frozen stiff lady in distress and who shows her his world full of legends and spirituality up in the high mountains of the Himalayas. The added twist? She is the only one who can actually see and interact with him - be that in cat or human form. Vivi Anna's Night of the Jaguar spins yet another interesting tale - this time taking us to the Amazon where heroine Mara Galas always dreamed of going ... literally, it seems. She has this recurring dream about a black jaguar and two mates running wild before turning into alluring males stimulating her imagination to no end - and then she is actually being attacked by a jaguar on the first night of her long-awaited trek of her dreams ...

CHANKU RISING - Keisha designed a well known park in San Francisco. She moved to Montana with her mate Anton along with her packmates Xandi and Stefan. Well, now she has to go back for the dedication however there is a threat that awaits her when she returns-a news reporter. Anton does not want Keisha to go alone so he allows Xandi to join her. What happens to Keisha and the reporter or better yet, what happens to Xandi? Gotta read it!TIGER, TIGER - Dani and Moe are in Tibet to mountain climb when a snow storm hits and they are both separated by falling. After Dani falls, she was caught by a ledge but could not move. She falls in and out of consciousness and she thinks she is dreaming about being rescued by a white tiger. She wakes up in a totally different surrounding and the man she meets is totally in to her. She has a perfect time with him until something he tells her, she cannot completely understand about herself. Is she living in a real life? Was the tiger real? What happened to Moe? NIGHT OF THE JAGUAR - Myra is taking her long awaiting dream trip to the Amazon. When she gets there, the trip turns out to be a tragedy. She discovers an amulet from ancient times. She is being stalked by this big black silhouetted man/jaguar. She is completely turned on by this creature-by the smell, look, stance, everything but knows it would not be right. The amulet is now in her hands and is making everything weird to her.
