HASH(0x9565eb94) out of 5 stars Shadows series delights Oct. 6 2008
By John E. Poulin - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Mass Market Paperback Verified Purchase
I must say I was wholly impressed with the first edition of Shadows edited by Charles L. Grant. I then set out to purchase the other volumes of the horror anthology series. Volumes 2 and 3 were also quite good, Volume 4 does have some spooky stories indeed such as "The Man Who Wouldn't Shake Hands" and "The Blue Chair". However, overall I don't rate it as highly as the other sets as it does have one story that rambles on too long (The last tale) and others that seem out of place in Grant's Shadows series. Nonetheless I still recommend this over other anthologies and am reading Shadows 5 now which I allready rate higher. Worth checking out this series.
