5.0 out of 5 stars Great Read! Mar 6 2012
By myheartbeats2 - Published on Amazon.com

This was definitely a Great Read! There were so many moments that my mouth was literally left open in an OMGosh state! Two words describe the character Mrs. Goodwin: Selfish and heartless.

Note: I borrowed this book from the Amazon Prime Library, but I've spread the word to non members because this book is worth more than it's current price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Book!!!!!!!! Kuddos to Leslie DuBois Mar 20 2012

I don't do many reviews on items, but I have to say this book was good from beginning to end.Seeing that I was born and raised in East St Louis, Il I felt that this book captured the true essence of the city in every aspect.Even though this is a fictional love story(which is phenomenal) there are many aspects of the city's history captured thoughout this book, the riot's for instance I have read and learned about them so muuch that I was amazed that the author kept true to the actual events about what happened the day of the riot's.

3.0 out of 5 stars Endings Always Let Me Down Mar 25 2012
By S. Hayes - Published on Amazon.com

I have to say I believe Leslie Dubois is a very talented writer. She knows how to craft a story. But this book along with others I have read have always left me upset and depressed. There's never a happy ending...ever. It's kind of sad. I read romance novels to escape a bit and of course not everything is going to be smooth sailing, but she is incapable of writing a book where everyone lives-lol. The endings always spoil any good feelings I have about the book. Still think she's talented though.
