About the Author

Edward Pechter is Distinguished Professor Emeritus at Concordia University and an Adjunct Professor of English at the University of Victoria. He is the author of Dryden's Classical Theory of Literature, What Was Shakespeare?, "Othello" and Interpretive Traditions and, most recently, "Othello": A Norton Critical Edition.
