Larry Darmour Productions present "SHE HAD TO CHOOSE" (1 October 1934) (65 mins/B&W) (Fully Restored/Dolby Digitally Remastered) --- The American actor Buster Crabbe graduated from the University of Southern California and won the 400 meter freestyle in which he medaled in the 1932 Olympics, went to work for Paramount in "King of the Jungle" (1933), next role was "Tarzan the Fearless (1933), Crabbe returned to Paramount Pictures was featured in Zane Grey Westerns which were well received, then came the roles that made him a household word "Flash Gordon" and "Buck Rogers" at Universal Picture Serials (1936-1940), meanwhile PRC Studios was looking for a leading hero "Billy the Kid" and "Billy Carson" in the 1940's B-Western series and ran its course for six years, later made several televison appearances and appeared in a series "Captain Gallant and the Foreign Legion" (1955-1957)

The story line and plot, A love triangle for childhood sweethearts Bill Cutler (Buster Crabbe) and Clara Berry (Sally Blane) when chirpy Texan beauty Sally Bates (Isabel Jewell) starts work at his drive-in hamburger joint --- Bill's interfering mother (Maidel Turner) does her best to break up the new romance --- Clara's playboy brother [Regis Toomey] is used by Sally to make Bill jealous, and when Bill accidentally kills the brother in a fight -not knowing that they have secretly married, Sally falls in with Mrs Cutler and Clara's plans to clear Bill of a possible murder charge by casing herself in a bad light. Realizing however that Bill is genuinely in love with Sally, they relent and help him find her again --- Will Bill get out of this tight spot with any help from the director and the cast, don't touch that dial you're about to find out.
