This is such an amazing music, I though it would not be possible to make a better CD than a "New soul" but this one is simply magical. it will open you another side of Yael Naim and will surprise you with every song...WOW..

I had heard of Yael Naim before but I had never listened to her music. So~I wasn't sure what to expect when I put this in the CD player. I was very pleasantly surprised by this CD. As it has a jazz~folk feel to it. Her voice is amazing and you can tell that she put a lot of soul into the songs. I listened to it from start to finish and I will be listening to it over and over again. As it is one that you will find yourself tapping your foot and singing along! Her voice is smokey~sultry and sexy.Entertainment Weekly notes that the new release exudes "...sprightly Joni Mitchell-goes-Dixieland charm," while MTV Hive praises her "knack for fun, whimsical pop songs."

When Yael Naim's first album came out in 2008, I was blown away by this new chanteuse from Israel by way of France. Her piano work is amazing and her voice is powerful and yet soothing.My favorite song off of this album is "Go to the River" - you get to hear Yael's dynamic range along with groove along to a tune that's destined for the Top 40 singles. The only downside of this album is that it's all in English, if you can really knock her for that.
This is most definitely her breakout album in the US, and totally worth purchasing if you're a fan of indie artists, "new soul", or even just catch tunes that you'll find yourself singing along to.
