5.0 out of 5 stars Really really great! Jan 19 2013

This is one of the most extensive and well written books about small ruminants I have seen. It is packed with valuable information, really up-to-date, with anecdotes about sheep and goat care that I haven't encountered anywhere else. This book helped me diagnose my strangely behaving ewe, due to the fact that it lists what kind of byproducts different feeds create in the rumen. Awesome.

This is a great book and was recommended to me by a vet who does alot of work with goats. He uses it and says he refers to it in his work. I've used it several times since my purchase. However, I will say that it is a bit too technical for someone like myself (who is not a vet), but I can certainly see where a vet could benefit from using the book. I don't regret my purchase and I'm glad I have it on hand to refer to. I can usually get the "jest" of the topic, but it would probably be more useful if I had a background that was more medically oriented.
