"Seduction in the Sand", Aug 21 2009
By Marilyn Shoemaker - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Sheikh's Betrayal (Mass Market Paperback)
First they were childhood friends and then lovers and then life changed for both of them. Desi became a model and sheikh Salah returned home to the desert and responsibility. Their love and passion consumed them both and then as all things happen in life, things fell apart due to a press release, pride and misunderstandings.
Now Desi is on a mission to help her closest friend Samiha obtain her greatest wish to marry the man she loves, not the arranged marriage her brothers want for her, to marry her distant cousin Salah. Desi's plan is to seduce Salah no matter what cost to her heart and help her friend.
When she arrives in Khouri it's under false pretenses as she's requested to Salah's father, that she's interested in a "dig" and he can't refuse her request because of the years Desi's family befriended his son. However, she's greated by Salah and he's now a man she doesn't recognize.....he's a man she's doesn't even recognize but a man she's here in his country to seduce and betray.
Their journey was very painful to read. It's obvious from the moment they see each other again that they both haven't put the past to rest and that they still want each other. It's a very dangerous game, full of passion, lies and so many misunderstandings from the past which wasted ten years of happiness they could have enjoyed.
Alexandra Sellers definitely has a passion for the desert, the sheikh genre and when you read the Sheikh's Betrayal you are emerged in the desert and culture from the beginning to end. This author is a master storyteller and takes deception and turns it around to a brilliant love story.

Desi and Salah have a history. Before Desi became an international supermodel and Salah became a sheikh, the two were deeply in love, spending their days on the beach and dreaming of marriage.
Life had other plans for the couple, though, and the pair eventually drifted apart. Now, Desi's best friend, Sam, is supposed to marry Salah in an arranged marriage, even though Sam loves someone else. Sam has begged Desi to intervene, believing that if Salah sees Desi again he will fall too deeply in love to follow through on an arranged marriage.
Desi can't turn down the request of her best friend, and what follows is a tension-filled, sexually-rich story of love lost and regained. It's captivating and intriguing, and the reader won't be able to put it down.
