5.0 out of 5 stars Will She Still Want Him When Her Memory Returns?, April 10 2004
By
Vesta Irene (the Pacific Northwest) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Sheriff & the Amnesiac (Paperback)
When Jenny Kyle reached for her wallet in the Mexican restaurant in Bridal Veil Falls, Montana, she was surprised to find she'd apparently lost it. Her waitress wasn't amused and called the sheriff, who didn't seem amused either. He called her trouble, because of her attitude. Then he spotted Ella, a harmless old woman in the restaurant, who on occasion picked pockets. Now it's Jenny who isn't amused.

When ex-rodeo star Tyler Cook saw the feisty red head, who had breezed into town on that big Harley, in the restaurant, he felt his heart flutter. He knew right off the bat that she was the one. He had to detain her, keep her from leaving town, so he arrests her for driving a motorcycle without a license and tells her she can stay at the motel instead of the jail, but she's not to leave town till she fixes her license.

That night Jenny is hit by a car in front of the bowling alley. Tyler rushes her to the hospital. When she comes to she remembers her name, but little else. It's not long before Tyler and Jenny are an item, but he wonders if she'll still want him if and when she gets her memory back. So he goes through her wallet and finds the phone number for an attorney in Los Angeles and calls it.

Did Tyler just make the mistake of his life or will that phone call ultimately lead to his ultimate happiness? Ms. Corey has done an excellent job getting her readers to wonder about that as they page through her terrific, well written romance. I liked this one very much and I think you will too.
