Again this rating is for the seller. I purchased this product, and the first time I used it , it did.t seem right. The brush on the bottom was crooked. I contacted the seller, explained the problem and they sent me a new one even before I had a chance to return the old one. Thye new one works great.

Multi Purpose Floor Nozzle Sept. 12 2011

I bought this to go with my small Vacmaster wet/dry vacuum, which did not have any "native" accessories of this sort.

It, along with extension wands, works very well with my vacuum and is very good on the carpet. It doesn't have rollers, so it isn't as smooth as carpet, but it cannot get clogged. If anything gets caught on the brushes (hair mainly), it is easily vacuumed off.

Pretty Terrible Nozzle June 29 2013
By Babe Z. - Published on
This nozzle is NOT multi-purpose, and is terrible with anything beyond cement. It scratches wood, pushes dirt around on tile and linoleum, and flips around or snaps off during use on carpet. The buttons to move the brush up and down snap out of place the minute the nozzle touches the floor, worthless!! Just don't waste your money, even after duct taping this piece of trash to my vacuum nozzle and taping the button to keep the brush down it popped up and continued to flip on carpet floors. I have owned it for a few years, but I stopped using it on anything but cement right after I bought it because all it did was make me angry.

good and bad Jan. 1 2013

I've used the old style shop vac floor tool for years. My biggest complaint was that with a powerful vac, the brushes are not strong enough to hold the vac base up off of the floor - it will just collapse down on to the hard floor which you don't want to have happen. That problem seems to have been solved with the added bristles around the sides. However, they seem to have messed with two other features which I find problematic. 1) The tool is now about 1/2 inch thicker and so won't get under some of my furniture when it would before. 2) They redesigned the up/down toggle lever. Now it will jump out of position when the bristles are down. It's useable but kind of a pain. Also, with the added bristles on the sides now, it is not as easy to swipe the tool sideways over clumps of dog hair (in my case) in order to have it bypass the bristles and go right into the tank vac. This is also a pain as virtually all of the dog hair is caught in the bristles so you have to disconnect to clean out the bristles more often. All in all, they kind of messed with it too much and made it worse than the old style. Trouble is...the Fein floor tool with the rollers will not fit the Shop Vac or Porter Cable hoses so you kind of need to get this one. What are ya gonna do?

Works on hardwood and floor. Does not work on carpet or rugs as it states. Nozzle wants to flip over. Doesn't allow you to run it thru the carpet or rug without flipping.

Cheap Oct. 7 2013

Compared to previous multi-purpose floor model owned which had some metal parts and much sturdier, this one is entirely made of plastic and cheaply constructed. The first one ordered broke after two uses. I'm using the replacement but only use it on the hard floor setting. Switching back and forth from floor carpet seems to be what breaks the cheap, plastic mechanism.
