Sketches are hilarious, interviews are entertaining,

I first saw these sketches (among many others) several years ago on a Sid Caesar retrospective series (I can't remember the title), and they're every bit as funny now as they were then. The humour of these great sketches from "Your Show of Shows" and "Caesar's Hour" is truly timeless and still fresh today. The interviews with Sid Caesar, Carl Reiner, Howie Morris, Nanette Fabray, Mel Brooks, Woody Allen and several others are a real bonus. They provide fascinating insights into the creation of the shows and the people involved in making them, as well as amusing anecdotes and behind-the-scenes stories. For any fan of Sid Caesar and company, this DVD set is an absolute must!

This is GREAT LIVE TV. But beware, it is a re-packaged, re-issue of the previous "Sid Caesar Fan Favorites" box set by a different distributor ASIN: B00005Q65F.If you already have that older Out-Of-Print box set there is no need to buy this one. Even with the kinescope(?) reproduction, the quality of the collection given its early age, is quite satisfactory, and just as funny as it was when I first watched its original TV production.
