I've played Civilization on the PC for years from the original up to Civ 3. The game console version for the PS3 is an exceptional evolution of the PC version. The concepts remain the same, but game play is quite fast and there are numerous civilazations to choose from. The graphics are fantastic; battles are close-up and all fighting units are visible.

Given the various levels of difficulty one can choose from and the numerous civilizations to choose from - this game can provide months of entertainment. I highly recommend it for anyone who is a fan of strategy games.

Civ Rev is a great strategy game. Even casual strategy fans should give it a try. It is turn-based, so you can take the time to learn. Perfect for first-time strategy players.

The game does allow some micro-management of your cities, but nothing too complicated that would take the fun away and make playing seem like going to work. The graphics are not great, but they serve the purpose of the game. There is some slowdown later in the game when you have a lot of military unities, but they are just annoying - again, this is turn-based, so you are not going to lose battles because of them.

There are many civilizations available for you to play with and each gets unique bonuses, adding to the replay value.

I was looking for a game that I could chill out after work with. Sometimes hitting 100 buttons a minute, like fighters or hack and slash games, really don't let me decompress from a busy work day.

I was surprised about the amount of cool features and content the game has. I figured at first that I would get bored quick, but I was mistaken. Winning with a civilization can easily take 3-4 hours on Warlord mode(easy). You need to utilize the strengths of each civilization that you choose at the start in order to grow faster then your rivals in the game.

The graphics are simplistic. But the characters look great.

The frame rate takes a drastic drop sometimes when it's the opponent's turn to play. But it isn't really frustrating.

I like that you can name what you discover in the game and that you actualy to learn some history facts while playing.

Bref, I bought this game for 30$ and I don't regret it at all. If you like strategy likes Age of Empires, or the old civilization games on PC, you'll enjoy this one for sure.

Very good game. It'd be better with Trophy support and longer duration campaigns, but still is a good game to have on your collection.

well. ive played this game before i bought it off of amazon. Its really almost endlessly re-playable until the same strategy gets boring so when that happens switch it up! i really enjoy playing this with my cousin in the multiplayer side. At times you will find you will be waiting for them or they will be waiting on you but overall a great multiplayer game. The AI in the easiest mode is more of a joke then anything. by the year 2000 you will mostly already have tanks and other things yet the AI is still with archers and other primitive tech. as the Difficulty goes up your strategy has to harden for the endurance of many MANY wars with fellow civilization.
