This SIEMENS phone is extremely reliable - even in ECO mode (low radiation mode, which was important for me) I have a clear line, no static issues. Menu is logical. All in all: The Gigaset C300A-3 works like a charm AND you safe energy AND you don't harm yourself with excess rays, that a regular DECT phones transmits.

I was looking for a high grade cordless phone and answering machine. I was not interested in the cheap phones at the big box stores. These are great phones. The answering machine works great, nice clear sound. The battery life is great. I am surprised that phones powered by 2 AAA batteries last for days out of the cradle. Excellent quality and features. These phones, and answering machine are made in Germany not China by Seimens. My logic was since they make medical equipment they should make a quality phone. Well I'm impressed. Sure it is plastic but it feels like someone actually put some effort into the design.

Nice phones. Easy to set up, great quality. Made in Germany. I would definately recommend these phones and buy the Gigaset brand again.

evaluating and comparing cordless phones is painful but at the end i went with the name - Siemens. the phone range it horrible; i could not go into the next room (10-ft) without scratching. phone conversations frequently included popping and occasionally they would just cut out to a loud continuous scratching noise. one unit did not ever connect to the base. i am extremely disappointed! after multiple efforts to remedy with customer support, they are being returned (6-months in). i was beginning to think they are not set up for use in the states - there is something wrong. BTW: customer support is in the U.K. and is where they have to be sent.... p.s. the one star is for appearance...
