Not what you think it is Jan. 10 2008
By D. P. Mitchell - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Ok, we can all agree that Simon Bisley is awesome. Most of us know his art "Slaine: the Horned God" and Heavy Metal magazine. So you get this book thinking it will be a book filled with his paintings, right? Nope. There are a few paintings, and they're terrific, but most of the book is pencil art, and a lot of that is his practice sketches for the paintings. Good art, but a letdown for a book that is advertized as being a book featuring his paintings. If you're a nut for rough pencil work you'll love it. But if you're a fan of painting (like me), don't waste your money on this book.

Bisley Bible art Dec 21 2007
By Bram - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
If you like the Bible, both Old Testatment and the New and the images it brings up or you are just a Bisley fan you'll love this book. I happen to be both. Bisley evokes great feelings with his images and there's a uniqueness in Bisely's interpretation that still feels and draws on the traditional biblical images. its a great addition to my art book collection and my Bisley collection.
