4.0 out of 5 stars Astronomy fro Everybody by Simon Newcomb, Dec 21 2010
By Glenn - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Simon Newcomb's Astronomy for Everybody (Paperback)
My Grandfather left me this book original copywright in 1902 and then in 1932 so it is not a first edition.
I love reading this and see how much people could tell about our universe by simply looking. No computers-no rocket ships.
I would have never heard of Bode's law if I had not read this. An interesting rule of thumb about the distance of planets from the Sun. I wonder if we will find that other Solar Systems also roughly follow that rule?
