This cookbook is filled with great healthy recipes. My kids have liked everything I have made. Lots of tips on substitutions. They give suggestions on what else to serve with the dish to make it a well balanced meal. I highly recommend this, as well as, their (Dieticians of Canada) other cookbook - Cook Great Food.

This book is absolutely packed with delicious recipes, made with easily-obtainable ingredients. The ingredient lists aren't miles long, and the instructions are clear and concise. Most of the recipes are manageable (time-wise) for weeknight dinners, although sometimes you need to put things to marinate in the morning. I love the recommendations for how to complete the meal (side dishes, etc). This is easily the most-used cookbook in my kitchen. I've made dozens of recipes from it and every single one has been easy and delicious. The fact that they're all healthy is just a bonus!

Great recipes that are healthy!! Lots of scientifically sound nutrition information. Pictures are great and many recipes use regular ingredients that are often already in the house. Many times my husband and I have commented that the meal we have made from the book is as good as or better than anything we would get in a restaurant. Instructions are clear, and nutrition break down is provided for all recipes. Strongly recommended.
