Singable Songs,

Michael Feinstein sings Jerry Herman, is a wonderful collection of Jerry Herman tunes. There were very few composers of broadway music that wrote both music and lyrics. Irving Berlin, and Cole Porter were two that wrote in this fashion, and now we have Jerry Herman to add to the list. Mr. Herman writes songs that after hearing them once, you find yourself singing them. Jerry Herman has a wonderful talent, and his songs are beautifully presented here by Michael Feinstein.

Unique and listenable over and over,

I am an enthusiastic Michael Feinstein fan and own most of his music. I think I play this one more than any others - Jerry Herman sings with him on three of the songs and they are great. Michael's voice is strong and the absence of orchestral accompaniment (piano only) is actually refreshing. Lots of fun and some tunes I've never heard before, but have grown to love.

A wonderful combination of two very talented men. Great performances all around, especially pleasing duets, and fresh, revised lyrics by Jerry Herman. No big production numbers, but wow, the quality of these two is hard to beat!
