5.0 out of 5 stars Miss Pegs...a Fabulous Tribute!!!, Dec 10 2005

Some are so critical of Miss M and this album. I think the real reason of concern is the the choice of songs. First let me say I LOVE this album. I does Peggy (and I am probably the biggest Peggey Lee Fan!) well...with respect and adulation.Peggy did so many songs in her career. Did you really expect our Bette to sing them all? Just because your favs were not included is no reason to knock this charming endevour and tribute to a lovey lady and fabulous singer.

But this album to hear our Peggy LIVE again thru the vocals of Bette! A GREAT rendering of Peggy! I feel a personal tribute to Pegs!

4.0 out of 5 stars Why So Short?, Oct 30 2005
This review is from: Sings The Peggy Lee Songbook (Audio CD)
This CD is as excellent as the last Bette Midler CD centring on the works of Rosemary Clooney. My only reservation is the same reservation I had about the last CD. Why is it so short? Surly both Peggy Lee and Rosemary Clooney had hundreds of other records? I also had some difficulty with the CD/DVD format. It stuck in my Car DVD player and would not come out. I was finally able to get it loose. Has anyone else had this problem?
You could easily burn both CDs to one blank and have room left over.

5.0 out of 5 stars UN ALBUM DE GRANDE CLASSE!!, Oct 26 2005
By
Stephane Mercier "Stéphane Mercier" (Chicoutimi,Québec Canada) - See all my reviews
