Product Description

Meri, Sudi, and Dalila are three girls living in Washington, D.C., but have little else in common. Or so they think. When an ancient magic is revealed, so are their true identities as Sisters of Isis.

Strange things are happening to Sudi. And when her date with her new crush Raul turns into a huge disaster, Sudi can’t deny the truth anymore—she’s got a ghost on her hands. But instead of being scared, Sudi sees this as an opportunity; it’s like having a special pet that can spy for her and play tricks on her nemesis, Michelle. Only this friendly ghost turns out to be not so friendly, and Sudi quickly discovers that it is actually a mut, one of the dangerous dead who tormented the ancient Egyptians. Sudi, Meri, and Dalila are soon caught up in the spirit’s brutal plan to wreak havoc in the world. Will the magic of the Sisters of Isis be strong enough to stop it?

4.0 out of 5 stars Engrossing, Jan 1 2009
By Heather - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Sisters of Isis: #4 - The Haunting (Hardcover)
As the title of the fourth Sisters of Isis book suggests, Sudi is being haunted, and not just by the ghost that has decided to be subservant of her. An old-friend-turned-enemy is stalking her, just as it becomes apparent that Sudi's not mastering her powers as well as the other two Descendants. This latest installment is surprisingly intricate, filled with various interweaving plotlines that make it an engrossing read. It drags a bit near the climax as a certain twist is explained, one that isn't even that surprising to require such lengthy explanation, but it doesn't detract too much from the action, fantasy, and humor fans of the series have come to expect. Readers can easily relate to Sudi's sense of helplessness as she struggles to gain control of both her destiny and everyday life, and its her relatability in general that seals this book's addictiveness. I look forward to reading the future adventures Sudi and her friends will have to face in the Sisters of Isis series.

I don't like to go into detail when doing a book review, I will just say that as with the previous 3 I absolutely loved it. I agree with the other reviewer..engrossing. I was starting to get a bit tired of Sudi and her low self esteem, and lack of confidence, but still..I enjoyed enough to finish in one day!
