5.0 out of 5 stars Another great recording by capitol steps!, Nov 14 1999

What do Dick Morris, Judge Scalia, Al Gore, Bill and Hillary, Bob Dole and Kathy Lee all have in common? Capitol Steps 17th album, Sixteen Scandals. Another gem from the first name in political satire and parody.

The main focus of this album is the current administration and the what they are doing. Recorded in 1997 they take aim at the White House and they hit everything. You'll be laughing for hours with this recording.

You get Secret Asian Man, Right Wing Striking Again, Boris Alive, Bomb Iraq and one of the funniest Lirty Dies I have ever heard. Capitol Steps should have a release of all the Lirty Dies by itself.

Giving 23 tracks to choose from, you should be entertained for hours. Whether in the car, office or home this album is sure to bring a smile to your face.

4.0 out of 5 stars absolutely hilarious, the Steps are witty AND talented, Aug 30 1998

This review is from: Sixteen Scandals (Audio CD)
What a time capsule! It's scary (but in a funny way) to think that, perhaps, in some far distant year, historians studying the twentieth century will come across The Capitol Steps "Sixteen Scandals" and think that THIS is the way it happened. If only! Nobody is safe from the Steps scathing--but very funny and very accurate--satire on the political circus. You don't have to be from a particular party; everyone's a victim. What the Steps do is they take current political situations--usually scandals--and satirize them by chaning the words to popular songs--hence "The Loonies of the Right" is a spoof on "The Music of the Night" and so on. The rotten thing about this is that future generations will have no clue as to what all the jokes mean. Too bad for them. Recommended highly!
