I am so glad they decided to release this on DVD... having gone to the show in Vancouver, and witnessing one of the best concerts i've ever seen, I was very curious to see what other tunes they played on the tour.
The DVD has a cool little intro shot half backstage and half on a creek in LA (I believe) with all 8 band members in canoes playing their instruments... very different!
The show opens with Dave playing 'Razor' solo for the most part, followed by several new & old songs. One highlight being 'On The Mend', the guitar solo at the end is amazing. Marigold, one of Dave's really old tunes was played, and was awesome! A good mix of old & new tunes, and plenty of banter in between songs, which definitely separates the DVD from the CD. There are several stories and jokes in between songs, and this is kind of what made the acoustic tour so different! One thing that the DVD is missing that most people that attended the show were probably disapointed in, was the absence of 'Floaty', which was played with the full band, but sang by Petra Haden, the violinist. This was one of the big highlights of the show for me, and to leave it out kind of takes away from truly how awesome the show was. No Floaty is not a huge deal, but I would have loved to see it included!
Overall, this DVD is a must have for any Foo Fighters fan, and really anyone who enjoys live acoustic music.
