Product Description

Product Description

They were called the Gang of Ten. Masked night riders that rustled cattle and imposed vigilante justice on any who stood in their way. They were powerful, above the law.

But then they lynched the son of a Blackfoot medicine man who threatened to tell their terrible secret.

Now something is hunting them. One by one they die in the most horrible ways, victims of an ancient evil straight out of Blackfeet folklore. Deputy Marshal Joe Longtree is a man used to getting the truth. But in Wolf Creek, the truth can kill you. For when the sun sets behind the mountains and the shadows grow long, an unspeakable horror rises with a taste for human flesh and suffering. . .

5.0 out of 5 stars SKULL MOON, Sep 11 2007

The "Old West", a corrupt sheriff, a small town hiding a secret and a ancient monster with a taste for flesh. A great and fast read. I picked it up and finished the book the next day. Loved it.

5.0 out of 5 stars how-to on Horror Western, Nov 24 2011
By Thomas Brannan "sharper than you, twice as ugly" - Published on Amazon.com
After reading Tim Curran's SKIN MEDICINE, I looked through his works for another or the same type and came across this book. SKULL MOON avoids the things *I* thought were wrong with that other book and delivers a punchy, in-your-face western with all the supernatural badassery I have since come to expect from Tim Curran.

The story is clean, without entanglements or tangents that don't pay off. The idea behind the story is frightening, even more so when you look back at archeological finds that make no earthly sense. (Egyptian tar-monster, I'm looking at you.)

I don't think there is anything about SKULL MOON that I would like to have seen differently, and that's a rarity for me. Kudos to TC for getting it done, and for setting the bar.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fast Paced Fun, Dec 3 2010

This was quite a book packed into just a few pages - practically a novella, really. I'd have enjoyed a more thorough fleshing out of some areas, but I still really enjoyed it, like almost all of Curran's books. Of the three westerns of his I've read, this one strays the furthest into supernatural horror while still being more or less a western. Good read, definitely recommended to fans of the genre or fans of Tim Curran.
