By the time the crooked lawman realizes he has the wrong document, Jolene Wellington is on the run - and framed for the murder of the banker. Back east, Falcon MacCallister's famous brother and sister plead with him to find a young woman who has vanished out West. Her name is Jolene Wellington. Back in Arizona Territory, Falcon will be one of many men searching for Jolene and for a mysterious treasure hidden in haunted Indian land. This book I received months ago, and it has been read and added to my wall of William W. Johnstone books.

2.0 out of 5 stars what happened to the quality of the writing, Aug 4 2011
By bear1243 - Published on Amazon.com
I love all of the William W.Johnstone western series, I have just about all of them.
I was very excited when book two of the the eagles series came out on Aug 1.
This has got to be the bottom of the barrel. a total Failure in reader connection
No where near the quality of the other books.
The story is ok but there is no connection with the reader. Even when you have a character you already know and love, you should still evoke some kind of emotion. it is like reading a new story. this is what happened and no personal connection. What happened to the quality of work that is expected from a William W.Johnstone novel.
