5.0 out of 5 stars Don't be fooled by the title Sep 14 2006
By Erin S. - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This is another amazing novel by Jack McDevitt, but do not be fooled by the title as was I. After purcahsing the book I discovered that this is just the British version of McDevitt's "Infinity Beach". Unless you're a collector of his books, as am I, buy the American version as it's a lot less expensive.

5.0 out of 5 stars "Slow Lightning" is an alternate title for "Infinity Beach". Jan 28 2013
By Ray Kuryla - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
If you have already read "Infinity Beach" you don't have to get this book. I had no idea it was released under an alternate title in the U.K. Oh, well. Live and learn. I kept it, though, to be part of my Jack McDevitt collection.

The book was in very good condition.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great space adventure by Jack McDevitt Oct 26 2012
By John Eppstein - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
A novel about galactic exploration, political intrigue, bureaucratic coverup, and mankind's first contact with an alien species, after a millennium of believing ourselves alone in the universe.

This book is pretty typical McDevitt, although it's a one-off and does not appear to be set in exactly the same universe or timeline as his well known Alex Benedict and Priscilla Hutchins books.

This book is the U.K. edition. It is also published in the US under the name Infinity Beach
