Excellent score! The booklet inside is very detailed and explains the creative process from the composers. Also, the booklet lets you know what episode and scene the score is from.

The music is so unique. Fashing back to one of the greatest prime time superhero series ever. All in all just great music if you like instrumental scores. I am so glad to have one of these. Worth every penny!

5.0 out of 5 stars favorites plus further suggestions Dec 30 2013
By Cameron Bartlett - Published on Amazon.com
Favorites from disk 1:
1. In the Rain.
2. To fly
3. Defeating Bizzaro

From Disk 2:
1. The First to Know (though they should have included the end credits theme of season 8 afterwards)
2. Lexmus
3. Hawkman in the Desert

Here are my only complaints:
1. I wished it was organized better. I wish disk 1 was just Mark Snow. And Disk 2 was just L. F. That way one can listen to the score in chronological order as they appeared in episode form.
2. I was surprised to what tracks did not make it. None of Mark Snows heroic pieces made it into the mix.
I would have liked to have had the music from season 2 that used cues from the Williams score. Like Clark meeting Dr. Swan, or Jor-EL talking to Clark for the first time through the ship. It also would have been nice to hear ending heroic cues from the season 4 finale. Likewise, the heroic cues of Clark landing back on earth after the phantom zone. I feel that these cues helped trace the Superman theme that eventually fully developed itself in later seasons (Febre goes into detail on this in the booklet).
I also would have liked some of my favorites from Febre as well. There is no Justice League theme from season 6. Also missing Clark and Lois's first flight (super jump) together across Metropolis in season 6. Also missed is the ending from the Shield ep where Clark walks out wearing his new costume.
All said themese deserve an additional release, in my opinion.

2.0 out of 5 stars Only For the SUPER Fan... May 20 2013

...I got this one, on the strength of the Talon Mix & the Metropolis Mix(both are very good) - however, though the album(overall) isn't bad, the two conductors, Mark Snow & Louis Febre, each produce music that all begins to sound the same - I seem to recall the scenes having so much more weight behind them, and a distinct personality, esp. w/ the music...I guess they just doesn't hold the same sway on their own.
