Only solutions for odd numbers, but this is really needed if you can't just "get" the answers by yourself when you find that your answers are different from the answers at the back of the text book. The solutions are tight but still contains enough detail so they are understandable. Really recommend it even if you ARE a math person (well I thought I was, but not for Cal 3…). Of course if you are already getting 99% of the questions then you can just ask your instrctor about the 1% though haha.

It is absolutely necessary when studying for an exam on my own to know if my answers to problems are correct. Without a teacher to correct my work, I had to find a way to do it on my own. I studied Calculus over 40 years ago and needed to take a test to prove that I still had the knowledge (I didn't). So I reviewed using Stewart's excellent text, and this manual helped me correct the problems.

Odd answers only, and not as good as the online reference Nov. 25 2013

Just bought this and learned, mere moments later, that slader.com has all the answers for this textbook, including the even questions. Much more useful, and free.

odd answers only May 12 2013
By dustin t hale - Published on Amazon.com

this book only has the odd answers. same as the previous book 1-9. it is dumb that they divided 1-17 into to book two solution manuals, let alone only give you the odd answers. however the book is useful when doing calc homework.

Good explanation but mismatch with the textbook Oct. 6 2013
By Sok Won Kim - Published on Amazon.com

It has answers and solutions to most of the odd-numbered problem in the Stewart 7th ed.
But If you have electronic version of the textbook and bought both volumes of student solutions, you would find some difference in the order of chapters.
Specifically, sections of Ch. 1, 2, 3, and 4 are differently ordered from what I see in the electronic textbook.
I think it's mainly because these solutions are bound according to the way the textbook is usually used in colleges.
I suggest that the publisher makes the combined edition, too.
Waste of your money…..you might as well just look at the back of the book for answers Dec 12 2013

Only covers odd number problems and explanations are not great. If you have the extra cash and are desperate than you should consider buying.
