This is not an ordinary book by an ordinary writer, nor can it be critiqued by any ordinary means, and certainly not by myself, as you shall see. To me it is simply miraculous, and all praise must be due to Allah for this work. The author did not actually write this book but orated it literally, straight from the source. It reveals the state of the prophet Muhammad (Sal.- may God's peace be with him) as the world never knew him, from his inception and the mystical interplay into this world and what he actually represented to all of mankind. We are told he was not a fallible man and the stories (hadiz) about him and the events surrounding his life are to be understood only by one who possesses a rare wisdom, since it may be that some early Meccan accounts and those stories arising even after his death, cannot ultimately be authenticated except by one who fully has access to this knowledge. So, read this with the understanding of the heart, not the mind and intellect, and you may enter into an intimate relationship with the final Prophet of God, the one to whom all creation reveres, and in the process learn about aspects of your own soul-life. As it is written from God to the Prophet, "except for you Oh Muhammad, I would not have created anything". To truly understand this, the heart has to be opened, melted in a state of compassion, and your wisdom must be clear. You must be in the state of a young child. To truly understand the Prophet means to see all lives as your own, without any separation. This too was the state of the author's life for those of us who were privileged and immensely graced by His Holiness Bawa Muhaiyaddeen's presence and most exalted life.
