A Gem,

The Solitudes series of music combined with natural sounds is one of the best of its type around. This particular CD, which incorporates the sounds of songbirds, is a real gem. It doesn't sound like elevator music! It's well-written, beautiful music, played by real musicians on real, not synthesized, instruments. If you are stressed out, anxious, tense, or just want to unwind and take a vacation from the daily grind, this music will transport you to an idyllic, peaceful, tranquil place. This is healing music at its best.

If I had known there was music put overtop of the birds singing, I wouldn't have gotten it. I just like Dan's amazing bird song recordings. If you like music overtop, though, you'll like this. Amazon, please mention it in the description as I am now unsure whether to buy others of its type. Thanks

I love this Cd... I want to make sure you know that this is not a new age CD... But it's still very relaxing.I agree whole heartedly with Sue... John Herberman is one of the best composers! With wood flutes, bass flutes, and regular flutes, clarinets, guitars, oboes, english horns, and Harmonicas, this is one great CD. The Guitars and Harmonicas only apear in track 5. Some of the birds featured in the CD include... Wood Thrush I defenintly recomend buying this CD!
