If you're debating sizes, 8GB is the sweet spot if you plan on getting some digital releases. Don't believe the line in the description that says it holds "2-4" Vita games. That's pretty low, actually, based on an average of 2 to 4GB per game, which is very high. I've had a chance to peruse the actual sizes of Vita games available on the Store, and they really range from 1 to 2 GB generally, with a few big ones up above near 3 to 4, but these are rare. There are also some smaller scale games that range around 200 to 500 MB. So realistically, I think the 8GB card could hold around 5 to 7 games, not 2 to 4.
About the card itself, it's a memory card. What's to analyze? It's very very small. Smaller than a penny, really. If your clumsy, you might be worried about losing it, but really if you plan to only get 1 memory card, then putting it in once and not taking it out is a valid solution.

Til you save up enough for a bigger one, Mar 2 2012

If you're like me and don't have quite enough to get the more expensive memory cards then the 8 GB one will tide you over until you save up enough to buy the 16 or the 32. By the time I bought my vita with a game and starter kit I didn't really feel like shelling out another 100 bucks for a memory card. The 8 is the best value in my opinion. I figured that 8 would be good until I saved up for the 32 and I don't regret my decison at all.
I have uncharted on a cartridge and I have downloaded quite a few demos to try out other games that I might want to purchase in the future. Plus, I have my music and pics as well. Don't get scared into thinking that you have to buy the most memory for the system right off the bat. Just save for the big one when the vita has a bunch of really good titles.

These memory cards are 3-4 times more expensive than an SD card. They're mandatory if you have a PS Vita, but they are grossly overpriced. Sony should have just gone with micro/mini-SD cards.
