The playstaiton2 is by far the best system. It has a lot of good games that the xbox dont have. So my Ps2 is so great that my games that i have, well. so about this that i have a lot ps2 games and less xbox games. My xbox is good, but my Ps2 is better. so it has great figting games like SC2, capcomvs.snk2 doa2:hc marvel vs.capcom2, and mortal kombat5. overall the Ps2 is still number 1. and Xbox number2.

Most people look at the ps2 and say oh its old its no good, dont listen to them(look at Reviewer: A gamer from USA who had 19 people fall for his stupid attempt at a nintendo invasion into a sony dominated world). The truth of the matter is that if you wantt o be able to interact in some of the best graphics out there(the 300mhz processor this thing boosts is 128 bit, the current higest pc bit processor is 64-bit by AMD and will cost you about 2 grand). The game selection is great, the graphics are great, the single player is great but now im going to move on to two of the Systems greatest features, its online play and its controllers.ONline play- PS2 online is currently the best out there. The systems online play is free for the most part and with the harddrive coming out in a few months you'll be seeing the playstation reaching its greatest hour. Also you want a community where you can go online and play online and talk to friends online at the same time(to talk with headset you will need broadband[BUT LISTEN UP: with that great accelorated dial up you should have no trouble talking over the web or playing broadband only games with the ps2]) The overall gameplay online is excellent and pretty much lag free. The controllers, quite simply, the best out there.they fit in your hands perfectly and the way the games are set up, you'll be able to reach every button with ease. Also the controlers are light and have excellent rumble features[when you're playing socom2 and you go into to sniper mode and the rubble starts up with the heartbeat you will trully feel tense and suspensful]. If you are looking for a good system with a future to prove it and the reliable technology to back you up[gamecube and box have had more returns due to malfunction and from being too fragile to live out the warranty than playstation 2 has probably had in its entire life after one year]. Bottom line, i've had two friends who owned xbox and where xbox punks, I was able to turn them into ps2 gamers by simply pointing out facts, playstation 2 will be cheaper in the long run, will give you more playtime in the long run, and will get you online and playing with friends with little or no effort.[note: to play online you need the network adapter and to talk online you need the headset, if you want to be an online gamer i recomending getting an online pack from Amazon, they give you everything you need for your ps2 online future with your ps2 at a greatly reduced price, and also be warned, nevery buy anything but the ps2 network adapter, do NOT BUY A USB NETWORK ADAPTOR FOR PS2 it IS NOT compatable with any new games.]

I've owned the Playstation 2 since the first day it was released. I haven't played it in many months. I prefer playing games on my pc (better graphics and games) and my kids prefer playing games on the Gamecube, better graphics and funner games for kids. The DVD player is also outdated. I just bought a $100 JVC dedicated DVD player and its 10 times better. PS2 was nice but no longer worth the cost of investment compared to the Gamecube.
