David Hanley is the author of Christian Democracy in Europe, Contemporary France, and May 68. He is a professor in the school of European studies at Cardiff University. John Loughlin is author of Regional and Ethnic Nationalism in France and editor of The New Political Geography of Eastern Europe and Subnational Democracy in the European Union. He is a professor of European politics and the Jean Monnet Professor of European Political Economy at Cardiff University.
