This is one of my favourite animated series ever. It turns convention upside down, and challenges many accepted ideas prominent in the minds of many people. So, it will make you think. It is visually and thematically exciting, and the story builds very intensely. Be warned, however: there is violence, coarse language, and brief nudity. That's why I said it is for adult audiences. I was so captivated by this series that I ended up writing a paper about it in a religion and culture class for university. COOL all around.
