Works, until it disintegrates Sept. 5 2010
By Al C. - Published on Amazon.com
Yes, this is the case included in Apple's Free Case Program. I however, bought this from the AT&T store. First, I would like to say that I used this case entirely in a humid and hot environment and that may or may not have affected the quality of this case.

When I first got the case, it seemed decent, not great. The case is a two part case, and the iPhone snaps in between the back part and the front part of the case. This is one reason why the case was so fragile and easily broken. It is also the reason why it takes some effort to install onto and take off the iPhone. Within the first few days of use, I noticed that at the bottom of the case, the fabric had begun to fray. The problem still gets worse. Three weeks into using the case, I started noticing that the outer layer of the sides of the case had become to wear off. Additionally, cracks were also noticeable at that point. After a few more weeks, minor cracks turned into major cracks, and eventually parts of the case started to break off. In the end, I ended up replacing it.

Summary/Additional Notes:
-Feels cheap, easily worn out or broken even without dropping the iPhone
-Case is made up of two parts, hard to get in/out and screen protector films may be lifted in process
-Flash is not obstructed
-Case does collect dust and lint near the openings: headphone jack, lock button, speaker/microphone holes, connector port, etc.

Stay Away From The Fabric Cases July 12 2010
By Elizabeth A Cole - Published on Amazon.com
I would not recommend the speck fitted fabric cases to anyone considering it. I've had my purple plaid fitted case for 13 days and the fabric backing is already fraying around the edges, the plastic around the front is chipping, and the right (non-button) side tends to come loose. I use my phone for typical everyday calls, emails & apps so I am not overly tough or abusive to my phone/case.

Boo. Hiss. Nov. 6 2010
By Literated - Published on Amazon.com
Received this case as a part of the Apple program. I picked this one because the argyle is cute and because I am very fond of my mac pro's clear Speck case--- but, for my phone, I sincerely wish I had picked another case. This one came new with threads already fraying around the edges, as the back is actually fabric which has been glued down. It was thin, thin plastic and I snapped it onto my iPhone out of sheer curiosity and was trapped. I couldn't get the thing off! It was fairly obvious that this case wasn't going to cut it protection-wise, but it held onto the phone in it's tiny little plastic death-grip, announcing its intention to claw up my shiny phone if I tried coins, clips, pliers, or fire to get the thing off! Well, I ended up dropping it (accidentally) a couple of days later. Less than a foot, but onto tile (of course). The case snapped into three pieces and was trashed. My phone was fine-- so snaps to this stupid case for protecting it from one fall. If you can afford to buy a new case each drop, this'll be fine. But if you live in a gravity-affected area, skip this and find something with a spine.

Save your money, Don't buy this Aug. 22 2010
By Jojo - Published on Amazon.com
I purchased this case when I bought my iphone. I really loved the look of it and I have to admit, it was a nice fit and made me feel like my phone was well protected. This is where the positives end. 3 days of use and I notice a small crack forming by the lock button. As the day went on it became progressively worse until it was completely cracked and because of that, not holding the case together. I brought it back to the store and was promptly given another. ** Note I did not drop my phone or damage it any way ** So Case # 2 and a week later, same crack, same story, I'm given a new one. Case # 3 cracked in the same exact spot less than 5 days later. The store finally let me change cases and I am now very happy with an incipio case. Do NOT buy this case, save yourself the trouble.

Great Quality & Fit Sept. 5 2010
By David J. Windsor - Published on Amazon.com
Verified Purchase
I purchased this case after receiving my free case from Apple's case program. Ironically I randomly chose this type of case but with a different rear design. When it arrived in late August 2010 I was very pleased with the quality and fit. The texture of the front and sides of the case is very similar to soft rubber. It's very smooth and silky feeling. The rear of the case feels different than any other case on the market. It has a rough texture akin to something you'd see on a fine suitcase. The fit is tight and snug and very easy to take apart once you know the little secret. Just watch the video that Speck has on their website and you'll see what I mean. Overall I'm thrilled with this case and there is nothing else out there that I'm interested in at the moment.
