This is a marvelous disc of baroque music by some of Canada's best performers. Would highly recommend this disc.

The Spirite of Music is wonderfully done CD featuring English chamber music from 1600-1660. Granted chamber music from the first half of the 17th century may not be everyones cup of tea. But this is great stuff!! Suzie Le Blanc's soprano voice is smooth and superb. I find some soprano's hard to listen to, but she expresses great depth and feeling with her truly beautiful voice. Susie Napper and Margaret Little are equally stellar in their performance with their Viola de Gamba's. Viols and Voice is really very refreshing. I am just a late forties guy who plays fiddle and banjo; I bought this on a whim because the old gut strung viola de gamba fascinates me. I'm very happy with the purchase. It's a peaceful and soothing form of music to relax and unwind to.
