4.0 out of 5 stars Won't blow your mind but definitely worth a few listens June 16 2011

I've always thought it was pretty cool when bands did splits with other bands. With the Rise Against/Face to Face split, Rise against is covering "Blind" by Face to Face and Face to Face is covering "The Good Left Undone" by Rise Against. It's pretty cool to hear two good bands trade songs like this. Rise Against shines here a little more with their overall performance, another user complained about the vocals, I think that they're just fine. If you're a fan of Rise Against it's the same sound you know and love. Face to Face do just as well I think, the singer has a sort of odd voice, but I dig it. The recordings are nice, I really enjoy when bands use field recording and when the track isn't over-produced as so much of music is now-a-day's. It's a solid split, a little disappointing in the fact that it's only one track.

3.0 out of 5 stars Face to Face shines, as Rise plummets, mainly due to production May 12 2011

When I bought this album I was hoping to hear Rise Against cover "Blind" and keep it in my head for weeks. Instead, the new Face to Face cover of "The Good Left Undone" left me speechless. You can tell by the production that Folsom Records has a poor production quality. Face to Face capitalized on this however, and it has been keeping my record player spinning ever since I got home. Not Rise Against's best split but I will give credit where credit is due, "Blind" was the perfect song to cover and Rise Against played it instrumentally perfect, the lyrics were just something Tim could not fully grasp.

You can tell by the poor production quality by hearing Tim's voice vibrate in the vocals. It seems like it was recorded somewhere near a basement. All in all, I say buy this Split just to keep as a novelty, but if you expect to hear Rise Against rock, you will be left disappointed.
