Choose from up to 16 levels of continuous or 8 levels of momentary stimulation that causes no harmful effects. The 3.2-ounce transmitter fits snugly in the palm of your hand. Press a button to stimulate your dog from as much as 400 yards away. The comfortable Soft Coat finish makes the transmitter a pleasure to handle. DryTek technology makes the very small 2.8-ounce receiver waterproof and submersible to 25 feet, per NEMA 6P and IP67 standards. No field trainer in this price range is smaller or offers more advanced features. Choose either tone or stimulation to train your dog. A low-battery detection feature monitors your transmitter and receiver. Rechargeable Ni-MH batteries, a lanyard, and a limited lifetime warranty are included.

I purchased this product to help reinforce off-leash training with a 23kg 1.5yr old husky-lab mix. She had a few problem behaviours I needed to curb like chasing after other dogs and children, but was more playful than she was stubborn. After the first day of training, I no longer need to use the continuous function; the beep and nick suffices and often only the beep. Further, power 2 is enough to achieve results. Using the 3rd power level caused her to yelp. I had to trim fur from two spots under her neck since she has a thick coat to get a consistent contact with the electrodes. The only drawback is that it has to be on quite tight to prevent the electrodes from migrating around her neck when she shakes her head. I haven't yet had a chance to evaluate the waterproof claim though it performs fine in snow.

I have a 18 month old male Bull Mastiff who has a really stubborn disposition.
I have had rottweilers and dealt with a stubborn breed before, but this dog - although very sweet,
had a stubborn streak.
I have only had to use an instant shock twice - but always sounded the audible when i take him
out in the fields.
Now he responds to just the audible sound and comes back to me immediately.
What a fantastic product!

Perfect for any problems with any dog that does not come, barks, etc. This also helps with aggressive dogs and hunting dogs that get a scent and will not come back.

I have a 11 month old Shar Pei that is a runner and a friend of ours has a similar collar, he recommended getting one so that we could bring him for walks in the park without a lead with their dogs. This collar is amazing, we only ever had to bring the nick to level 2 and my dog instantly came to a stop and returned quickly. My boyfriend and I are strong believers of knowing exactly what our dog is getting shocked with and we tested out the levels on ourselves to make sure it wasn't harming him too much. I would definitely recommend this collar to anyone with a dog that is a runner and stubborn but only for the purpose of training and not a punishment.

Used with two of our three dogs and it has worked well on low levels to correct them barking and provoking the neighbor dog.

I have a red heeler that is very smart but figures he is the Walmart greeter of the neighborhood. He takes off to visit with people or dogs with disregard for the road or his own safety. I only have to call him and push the button once if he does not listen (on 3) and he is turned around and running back towards me. He is starting to get to the point now after a couple of weeks of stopping when he sees something on the road on his own. He is a big water hound though and I had already sent one back but I used the duct tape idea (covering the charger cover)from another reviewer and it worked, he swims, chases the sprinkler and fights with the hose with his collar on with no issues.
