I found the recipes very well explained and almost self contained which is excellent considering the multitude of subjects. on the drawback side, I encountered editorial errors (sometimes double words or are in out of order, and very rarely talking about a different class name than the one mentioned in the example) there was also a paragraph from chapter 13 that appeared suddenly in chapter 15 (page 603) but I can say that all this did not jeopardize the understanding of the sections, it's obvious from the context and I would definitely recommend this book.

It is a great book. It usually provide more than one way to do a job based on the evolution of the Spring Framework, which means you can use the latest to do your current job but still understand others previous work after you read it. It contains a huge amount of info though so be careful not been buried.
