Spencer West is a shining example of all that the human spirit can be, can do. His story is one of overcoming a very difficult situation not only to survive, but to thrive and to lead others on to find their own greatness. In "Standing Tall", he tells the story of his life from his birth up until his current work with Me to We. I've had the great pleasure to see one of his (live) talks, and his enthusiasm, great good humor, joie de vivre, and playfulness shine through the words in his book as brightly as they do when you see him in person. I would recommend this book to anyone wrestling with the difficulties of being human.
