Fits quite tightly on a Russian sks. I havent shot yet with it on yet so im not sure if it will come lose. makes the gun look cool for a few bucks. these are only worth around 10 dollars, so canadian amazon seems to be the most expensive place to buy them. overall cool product for the price.

This item is perfect, I would have given it 5 stars if the finish was a bit nicer.

Otherwise, it installs perfectly, fits like a glove, and doesn't disappoint. Recommended sks upgrade!

Edit after shooting:

This is a quality item, that actually does its job. I'm very impressed, and my SKS owner friends are buying this after shooting mine!

Perfect fit on my Norinco Oct. 4 2011

I hate 2 admit I bought this thing cause it looked cool on the end of my buds SKS.... Don't know if it does anything or not & I dont care. Put a thin coat of black heat resistant silicone on the end of the barrel b4 U slide it on... When it dries....it wont move. Don't forget the pin. Drive it out w/ a punch. 5 min install

Another Winner From NCStar! Oct. 12 2012

My NCStar muzzle brake arrived in perfect condition. Unfortunately - and this is NOT NCStar's fault - I didn't have the right tools to do the install myself, and subsequently bent two steel pin punches trying to remove the front sight pin from my Norinco SKS. I wound up taking it to my local gun shop, and the gunsmith had to remove "a little" to open up the inside diameter of the brake for a proper fit. Now it fits good, and looks good on my SKS Bullpup. (NCStar makes tactical outfitting affordable for those of us on a tight budget - I've been using their products almost exclusively for several years, and haven't ever had a bad one.)

this works great actually reduces muzzle rise seemed to help recoil and to top it all look awsome was a lil hard to install but not the products fault at all had a hard time driving the stock pin out ended up had to drill it out which work but takes a steady hand and some know how definatly suggest this product to any sks owner

very satisfied July 2 2012

Pushes on firmly (with a few whacks of the hand). Used a 1/16 inch metal punch and hammer to remove the old pin (holding the sight in place) and push in the new pin. Looks great.

Rusty in the bag, cramped on the barrel. Aug. 9 2010
By Dustin Loftis - Published on Amazon.com

I bought this muzzle brake for two reasons; to reduce recoil and because it looks cool. It arrived in a thin plastic bag. The bag was already coated with a thin film of rust, as was the part. I had difficulty attaching it. Some of this is because my hand-me-down SKS does not have a perfect muzzle. Some of it is because the part is just slightly too small when it hits the widened barrel under the front sight post.

I still like the way it looks.

I think it will reduce bounce.

I'm deathly afraid it will cause horrendous rusting on an otherwise rust-free weapon, and I'm not sure I can remove it, pin or no pin.

Edit: I took a Dremel to my rifle and removed the metal burrs on the barrel, and used a hammer to tap this product on. It then seated properly in place. It still leaves rust on anything I touch it with.
