Great collection of awesome nostalgia! The movies look and sound much better with the upgrade to Blu-ray. Great having them all together in one set finally. Some of the movies in this collection stand out as classics and others more like duds, but it's good to have them all in the same set. II, III, and IV stand out as the best in the series, but it's still worth the buy to have them all. The special features are pretty neat, but Blu-ray live does not work in Canada. So if that is a must-have for you be careful.

"It's the next logical step in technology as we know it."

This collection of Blu-Rays is a must have for any real Star Trek fan!

There is absolutely nothing to be skeptical about, you get ALL the extras and MUCH MORE!

Warp speed ahead!

(*) Star Trek: The Motion Picture - When you are feeling tired, but cannot sleep... Pop this movie in and you'll be out in no time. Kirk regains the Enterprise by effectively stealing command and hastily reading it for space travel, sacrificing a few Red Shirts in the process. Some type of intelligence is causing havoc and must be investigated. Life as we know it is questioned much like any Science Fiction story would deliver.

(****) Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Kahn - Kaaaaaaaaaahnnnnnnnnnnnn! Kirk's old rival, Kahn, is back for revenge. Awesomeness happens, and you might cry at the end. Live long, and prosper.

(*** 1/2) Star Trek III: The Search For Spock - Genesis, the newly created world, is an issue of interstellar proportions. Kirk, Bones and the crew must find Spock. Klingons, lead by Christopher Lloyd, attempt to gain procession of the Genesis device, which they believe to be the most powerful weapon in the universe. A for effort.

(**) Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home - Enterprise and her crew must travel back in time to save Humpback Whales.

(* 1/2) Star Trek V: The Final Frontier - Spock's brother shows up on a quest to find Vulcan Eden, and God.

(*****) Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country - Two houses, both alike in dignity, in fair space future, where we lay our scene. From forth the fatal loins of these two foes, a pair of star-crossed warriors try to take each others life. And, through their actions, thus overthrow their leaders strife. In fair space future, where we lay our scene. Christopher Plummer makes Shakespeare taste like Gagh, as it rolls off his tongue. You'll think you died and went to Sto'Vo'Kor! Qapla'!

The only criticism I can make concerns each individual films: their front covers are bland to cry. As for the rest, ie the essential: thanks to the Blu-ray format, you will see these films as you've never seen.

This is a GREAT SET with all sorts of great bonus features, WAY better than the dvd version. The quility and sound is fluid (it being blu-ray and all), not to mention the movies themselves. The first one is criminally underrated, the second one is critically praised, and with good reason, the third one is cool, the fourth one intentionally HILLARIOUS, the fifth one is unintentionally HILLARIOUS, and the sixth one is a pretty damd good conclusion. This set is (as said previously) fantastic. Much better than the next generation set which only includes 1 good movie.

Super fast delivery from Movies are re-mastered in high definition and it shows. The first one was so clear you could see the fakeness of the graphics. But what do you expect from a 34 year old movie not meant to be HD. The opening scene with the Klingon Battle cruisers was pretty cool.... looked legit and detailed up close. Movie was boring however. The second movie was simply stunning and was truly re-mastered. I was shocked as well as to how good number 3 was done in the Search for Spock. It was like watching it for the first time even though it did not receive the treatment Wrath of Khan got. All in all, this collection is well worth the buy!!! especially when it is on sale during the Christmas season.
Lots of extras in the package as well. The casings of the blue-rays are super thin and cool looking.

Des classiques de Star Trek que l'on prends plaisir à regarder encore et encore. Hautement recommandé à tous les amateurs de science-fiction. On s'ennuie jamais avec l'équipage de l'Entreprise.

Classic among classics. It was nice to reunite with Kirk, Spock and the others. This blu-ray package was well produced. It is multilingual as well (with French 2.0 among others).

Classique parmi les classiques. Très agréable de revoir Kirk, Spock et les autres. Cet ensemble Blu-ray a été bien monté. Il est aussi multilingue (contient la bande audio française 2.0).

Good Movies. Good Picture Quality. Good deal at the reduced price. The special features and extra scenes where ok. There was really nothing special here but for fans it was good. I still say that The Star Trek People are to full of them selves and need to reduce the prices on their products. Fans want to see the various series in Blue Ray at a decent price.

Really fun to watch, except for the first movie which was terrible when it first came out and still is, although the quality of the dvd was great, this was a fun bunch of movies. Nothing like reliving the 1960's what an exciting series this was....Captain Kirk, you're my I can give away my VHS tapes

Here's the theatrical films released with the cast of the original series. Most people say the even numbered films are the best, and I agree. They're a little "tacky", especially compared to the new "reboot", but are still enjoyable for those with even a bit of Trekkie in them.
