Book Description

In the New York Times bestseller Darth Bane: Path of Destruction, Drew Karpyshyn painted a gripping portrait of a young man’s journey from innocence to evil. That man was Darth Bane, a twisted genius whose iron will, fierce ambition, and strength in the dark side of the Force made him a natural leader among the Sith–until his radical embrace of an all-but-forgotten wisdom drove him to destroy his own order . . . and create it anew from the ashes. As the last surviving Sith, Darth Bane promulgated a harsh new directive: the Rule of Two.

Two there should be; no more, no less.
One to embody the power, the other to crave it.

Now Darth Bane is ready to put his policy into action, and he thinks he has found the key element that will make his triumph complete: a student to train in the ways of the dark side. Though she is young, Zannah possesses an instinctive link to the dark side that rivals his own. With his guidance, she will become essential in his quest to destroy the Jedi and dominate the galaxy.

But there is one who is determined to stop Darth Bane: Johun Othone, Padawan to Jedi Master Lord Hoth, who died at Bane’s hands in the last great Sith War. Though the rest of the Jedi scoff at him, Joshua’s belief that there are surviving Sith on the loose is unshakeable.

As Johun continues his dogged pursuit of the man who killed his master, Zannah, faced unexpectedly with a figure from her past, begins to question her embrace of the dark side. And Darth Bane is led by Force-induced visions to a moon where he will acquire astonishing new knowledge and power–power that will alter him in ways he could never have imagined. . . .

So great to see another Star Wars book written from the other perspective. I have bought, read and loved the 120+ Star Wars books, but let's face it: "Jedi good, Sith bad" was becoming a bit boring. Karpyshyn's books, as well as Matt Stover's "Revenge of the Sith" (my favorite) are a welcome change.

This review is from: Star Wars: Darth Bane: Rule of Two (Mass Market Paperback)
Very good series. Nice sequel.

Frequently sequels aren't good. This book was entertaining and well written.
Many of you are reading this review and wondering if they should buy the book or not?

1- If you are a star wars fan: Buy it. Start from darth bane: path of destruction.

2- If you like science- fiction books: The same advice goes to you.

3- If you like romantic books: Don't buy it. There is a lot of killing in this book.

But definitely a good read........

This sequel continues right were it left off in the first darth bane. There are new characters in this book, but you won't be lost when reading it.

Darth bane continues his search of knowledge while he teaches the ways of the sith to his new apprentice. Meanwhile, the jedi's are making sure they have destroyed all the sith.

In conclusion......... it is so good, I hope they're will be a lot more of darth bane in the future.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sith fan, Dec 30 2007

Drew did a great job considering the short amount of time he had to work on this project. I wish it would have been double the length. It has a good flow to it and I look forward to more dark side of the force stories from Drew.
