Book Description

With the release of Star Wars, Episode II, in theaters last May, a new collecting frenzy began for Star Wars collectors everywhere. Not only did new merchandise crowd store shelves, but vintage collectibles skyrocketed in value. Our Star Wars Super Collector's Wish Book was no exception - it took off with a blast, and sales were unbelievable. The force was strong in pulling author Geoffrey Carlton to an all-new second edition of the wish book, now even more complete than the first, including over 7,000 new listings and more than 2,000 new color photographs. Around 70% of the photographs have been improved and replaced, making visuals even sharper. Episode II merchandise is now included, and the same handy format allows collectors to easily locate items by category. Also new in this edition is expanded worldwide coverage for vintage collectors, combined with thousands of listings for U.S. and international releases from 1976 through Episode II. Values are given for loose and mint-in-package movie and character items: action figures, trading cards, Micromachines, lunch boxes, comic books, dishes, clothing, furniture, posters, marbles, food packaging, autographs, patches, and more. The number of listings now totals over 30,000! Add that to the fact that over 17,000 photographs are found, and you will see that this book fulfills its destiny. AUTHORBIO: Geoffrey T. Carlton has loved Star Wars since the debut of the first movie in 1977. He estimates that his collection of over 6,000 pieces of memorabilia is valued at between $80,000 and $85,000. He is a member of the 501st Legion of Stormtroopers, ranked commander. His Star Wars Super Collector's Wish Book was the first of its kind, boasting over 23,000 listings and nearly 12,000 color photographs. REVIEW: With vintage Star Wars collectibles already appreciating and a new wave of items inspired by the recent movie appearing on the marketplace, this book is a wonderful resource for Star Wars enthusiasts. Completely unique, there is no other book available that is so beautifully produced, so comprehensive or so affordable. In short, this definitive reference is more than a rising "star" in the field - there is nothing better on the market and nothing as complete.
