New Chapters in the Force Unleashed Story
The Ultimate Sith Edition of Star Wars The Force Unleashed is a special new version of the game that introduces gamers to the deepest, darkest side of the Force in a story that puts them on a collision course with Luke Skywalker himself. In the original release of The Force Unleashed, Darth Vader's "Secret Apprentice" was unveiled amidst new revelations about the Star Wars galaxy. The expansive story was set during the largely unexplored era between Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. In this adventure players assisted the iconic villain in his quest to rid the universe of Jedi - and face decisions that could change the course of their destiny.

The new edition's exclusive storyline, set up in the Tatooine mission, follows the Secret Apprentice as he is sent to the planet Hoth on a crusade to crush the Rebellion once and for all. While on Hoth, players face Luke Skywalker while visiting iconic locations seen in Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back. The Ultimate Sith Edition includes all the of the original missions found in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, as well as content previously only available via download, and an all-new exclusive bonus level.

The New Technology of The Force Unleashed
As with The Force Unleashed, the Ultimate Sith Edition utilizes two completely new and innovative technologies -- Digital Molecular Matter by Pixelux Entertainment and euphoria by NaturalMotion Ltd. These groundbreaking technologies combine with Havoc physics to create true Next-Gen gameplay and the Force like it's never been seen or experienced before.

Key Game Features

  • Star Wars The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition combines the original Star Wars: The Force Unleashed video game and three new levels to create the definitive ultimate-evil storyline of the events that occurred between the two classic Star Wars movie trilogies.
  • Additional content includes two levels set on Coruscant and Tatooine previously only available via direct download, and an all-new bonus level available only in the Ultimate Sith Edition package.
  • The Ultimate Sith Edition expands the story of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and re-imagines the Star Wars Saga as if the Secret Apprentice had killed Darth Vader and taken his place at The Emperor’s side, becoming the most powerful Sith Lord in the universe.
  • In the Ultimate Sith Edition, the Emperor sends his new apprentice to the planet Tatooine to dispatch Obi-Wan Kenobi -- who has been hiding on the planet ever since the events of Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith. During their hunt for the reclusive Jedi, players will also explore the depths of Jabba the Hutt’s palace and encounter notorious bounty hunter Boba Fett.
  • In the game’s thrilling finale, the Secret Apprentice is sent to the planet Hoth on a crusade to crush the Rebellion once and for all. While on Hoth, players face Luke Skywalker himself while visiting iconic locations seen in Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back.
  • The Ultimate Sith Edition gives gamers a chance to experience the full power of the dark side of the Force. Create devastating attack combos using the Secret Apprentice’s lightsaber and over-the-top Force powers – Force push, grip, repulse and lighting. Upgrade and master these powers to leave a path of destruction behind you in your quest to rid the Galaxy of the Jedi.
  • The Secret Apprentice doesn’t just defeat his enemies with the Force - he hurls them through walls, smashes them into objects, shocks them with lightning, and even transforms them into Force-charged bombs capable of massive destruction.

I'm not sure why this game received luke warm reviews when it first came out. It has a great storyline, that matches the plot of the movies. Meaning all those who want power, always want more power. Vader gets an apprentice in hopes of replacing the emperor. And obviously his sights change to his son (in the movies) as his new apprentice. So the whole premise of this game fits nicely.
I heard complaints of bugs or frame rate issues. Having just completed this new Sith edition, I experienced no issues of any kind. It has three bonus levels that are not on the orginal version. These bonus levels inlude fights with ObiWan, Boba Fett, and Luke. And it's really wild how you can fight Darth Maul in the actual game, even though it's just a robotic version. Other fights in the game include fights against the real Shaak Ti, Darth Vader and the Emperor himself.
You also have an option to change your character to a list of "whose who" in the Star Wars universe. I highly reccomend this game, and look forward to a sequel, if there is a sequel coming.

Better than the regular Force Unleashed Nov. 6 2009
By D. Minor - Published on Amazon.com
Fun:
If you waited a while and haven't yet bought The Force Unleashed, well consider yourself lucky and pick up this addition. It's a lot more addictive and fun. I own both versions. I had The Force Unleashed for Xbox 360, and I bought this Force Unleashed Ulitmate Sith for PS3, as well as owning The Force Unleashed for PSP (what can I say I own all gaming consoles). This adds three levels to the original game that to me I enjoy more than some of the games regular levels, this game is made to answer the "what if" question; like can you imagine Luke Skywalker becoming the apprentice to Starkiller (who killed his father Vader)?
Now the Sith Edition for Xbox 360 contains 2 disks, the first is just the regular game that's been out for a little over a year, with a bonus disk featuring the 3 new levels. On the PS3 version you get one disk that contains everything. I also wanted to clear this up, you don't get 10 collector cards, you get one (of either 10 different) card and a book that shows you the other. It's nice thou, it's foil stamped, etc. And what I think is really nice, is the case this game is in, it's not plastic it's a tin case. Makes for a dramatic look. Certainly a nice christmas gift for any Star Wars fan, even if they already own the Original Force Unleashed as I did.

Unfortunately Substandard Edition Nov. 25 2009
By Milo Price - Published on Amazon.com
Fun:
This is just the game with all the DLC now included on the disc. They didn't even change the menus or anything to reflect the "Special Edition"-ness (yes, that's right, the loading times between menus are still there, even after the 5-gig install). No bug fixes, backwards compatibility, anything. Your old saves don't work on here if you have any and the bonus missions are very short, even the exclusive one. The trophies are a little buggy too, because apparently kills in the bonus levels don't count toward some trophies (I counted). The non-canon storyline is interesting enough, but it still feels incomplete, even with the addition of the Hoth DLC. If you were going to buy all of the DLC, this costs about the same, and if you haven't played the game yet, this is the edition to buy, but overall there's not a ton of reason to buy it if you've played the game. It comes with ten collector's cards (and one out of ten foil cards, are you supposed to buy the game ten times or what?) and the exact same manual from the first game.

Star Wars The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition - the good, the bad and the glitch Nov. 12 2009
By Rafa - Published on Amazon.com
Verified Purchase Fun:
When I found out, there was a special edition, I was really happy, I bought the regular edition when it came out on September 2008, a great game I must say but unfortunately it had a lot of glitches, (see my past review on the regular edition) but still I wanted this game. After playing for a little while, here are the things I like and also the ones I didn't like:

The good:
* Metal case
* All downloadable content now it is included and it is for "free".
* A collectible card.
* Art book.
* Price.
* Trophies are now available for this version.
* Exclusive level for the Sith edition.
As for me, the game seems to load a little bit faster in comparison with the regular version.

The Bad:
* On Amazon's product description, there's no info that it said just one collectable card it's included, too bad.
* It would it be cool if there were a soundtrack included for this edition.
* For people who already bought the two extra screens, the skin characters, they wasted their money because all content it is included.
* Too bad the special edition took over a year to be release.
* Your previous save data and all the hours you invested in playing the regular edition, now are useless because the save data is not compatible with the special edition, as for me A HUGE FAIL from Lucas Art studio.

The glitch:
* On some stages the character can float LOL, especially if the character needs to climb to get a holocron and then if you let him fall (a small fall not enough to kill him) on some stages the star killer will flow. The one I recall right now was in Felucia (level 3), when I saw it.
* This is the game with most glitches I've ever played on PS3 (actually the only one with glitches I own).

If you don't mind to re-play the game one more time, I would advise you to sell you regular version and buy this one, for all of their extras and the exclusive screen for this edition, you won't regret it.
Cheers.

Great!!! Until You Finish It. July 16 2012
By DDR - Published on Amazon.com

A little personal history: I get bored with 90% of games after I beat it, so be warned!

Very good graphics, controls, gameplay, etc. A few annoying platform style jumping, and monotonous melee and fighting, but an overall fun experience! It's great that the story is within the original trilogy, and the levels and visuals really put you there!

But... Once you beat it, it's one of those games that you throw on the shelf for a few months, play it one more time, and then let it gather dust forever. Not much to do after finishing it, except finish unlocking all the moves, and earning all the costumes. Meh...

Good game overall!
FOR STAR WARS FANS ONLY Jan. 9 2010
By FRANCISCO CARDENAS - Published on Amazon.com
Verified Purchase Fun:
Ok, so I got this game as a gIft from my parents, and let me say that I loved it from the start. First of all the story line is great, I just love how thousands of stories can emerge from inbetween episodes, second the game play is awsome, prettey much like the EPISODE III REVENGE OF THE SITH PS2 GAME, but the part that i liked the most is the sequence of buttons you have to do to finish of bosses or big opponents, and my moste defenitive favorite part that had me with out blinking is the light saber battles the way you get to lock in battle with your foes it is just mind blowing. The graphics are great, can't complain, I would have enjoyed it much more if the definition was at is fullest, but I can live with that. So as you can see this game is for true Star Wars Fans and people who enjoy playing just for fun, not for those who complain about bugs every now and then, remember it IS JUST A GAME!!!!!!!

Now the DLC it's the same as the one you download from the PSN, and it's about the same price as the game, with the bonus of the HOTH level, which I think it's awesome and some extra characters. The only thing I would have changed it's the fact that when you use Jango Fett he's using a sword instead of his blasters, but that is just me, still I found it to be a great re-issue, note that I have both standard and the Ultimate edition, but the again, I am a STAR WARS nut.

So, if you are a true fan o f the saga, get this game, believe me just for the HOTH level, it is worth it.

Cheers and happy new year!!!!!!
